Wondering if your course could satisfy a Foundations requirement, even if it’s outside of Math, History, and English?
The Foundations Board receives proposals from a variety of colleges and disciplines seeking FG, FQ, and FW designations. This workshop will include easy and effective ways to address the Foundations Hallmarks. In the process, we will also share excerpts from successful and unsuccessful proposals. Attendees are encouraged to bring a syllabus, draft proposal form, or just a creative idea.
This event is hosted by the Foundations Board and the General Education Office (GEO). The GEO works in conjunction with the Board to provide workshops and resources for faculty who either plan to or currently teach a Foundations designated course.
In this session, participants will walk away with a variety of helpful tips, ideas, and suggestions regarding the Foundations’ designations and the proposal process.
Who can benefit from this discussion? Any faculty member interested in teaching a Foundation course or learning about ways to demonstrate meeting the Foundations hallmarks for renewal.
Please register as space is limited.
